1. Walking to Plagne Centre: An Immersion Among the Pine Trees

For those who wish to extend the pleasure of a stroll, it is possible to reach Plagne Centre from La Plagne 1800 without using public transport. A groomed and waymarked pedestrian path leads up directly from behind Chalet Dakota.

❀ Walking time: Approximately 20 minutes.
❀ The setting: A peaceful crossing through the spruces, accessible during après-ski as well as in the summer season. It is your hosts' favourite route for a post-dinner stroll or a morning walk before hitting the Paradiski slopes.
A Tip from the DAKOTA Team

At the La Plagne biomass plant (chaudière collective), continue along the forest path, crossing the Lou Garou blue run. In less than 15 minutes, you will reach the beautiful Lac Vert, offering a sublime view of Mont Blanc and the village of La Plagne 1800.

2. Discover the Free Shuttle Network in La Plagne: Travel with Ease and Total Freedom

Plan des navettes inter station

La Plagne was designed as a constellation of perfectly connected villages. Beyond the road shuttles, several free "urban" ski lifts allow you to move from one side to the other without ever needing your car.

1. Cable Links (Free)

These lifts operate autonomously, often with extended hours to facilitate après-ski and evening outings:

  • The Télémétro: The futuristic link connecting Plagne Centre to Aime 2000. Fast and panoramic, it runs continuously until late in the evening.
  • The Télébus: Essential for reaching Plagne Village from Plagne Centre. It provides access to high-altitude trails, notably Dou du Praz.
  • The Belle Plagne Gondola: This ensures a direct link between Plagne Bellecôte and Belle Plagne. It is the perfect tool for moving from one snow front to the other effortlessly.

2. Free Shuttle Network (Blue Buses)

Complementing the cable links, the bus network serves areas not connected by pedestrian lifts:

  • Plagne 1800 - Plagne Centre - Plagne Bellecôte (Blue Line): The backbone of the resort. It stops at the Rond-Point station, 250m from the chalet.
    • Hours: From 08:00 AM to midnight, with increased frequency during peak periods (every 15 mins at scheduled times).

  • Aime 2000 - Plagne Centre - Plagne 1800 - La Roche (Red Line)
    • Hours: From 08:00 AM to midnight, with increased frequency during peak periods (every 15 mins at scheduled times).
    • Bobsleigh Access: Specific shuttles serve the La Roche Olympic track from Plagne 1800 in just 4 minutes.

Please note: All these links (cable cars and buses) are free for both pedestrians and skiers. They make La Plagne 1800 an ideal base camp for exploring the entire Paradiski domain without any logistical constraints.
