Chalet Dakota sur le domaine de Paradiski

Location and Access

Where exactly is the chalet located within the Plagne 1800 resort?

Chalet Dakota enjoys a privileged position on the heights of Plagne 1800. It is nestled in a quiet spot at the end of a forest cul-de-sac with no through traffic, guaranteeing total serenity. Yet, you are only 150 metres from the heart of the village (SPAR supermarket, restaurants, ski shops) and the main snow front.

Where are the nearest shops located?

The centre of Plagne 1800 is accessible in less than a 3-minute walk. There you will find the SPAR supermarket (open every day), specialist sports shops, and excellent restaurants such as Le Loup Blanc or Le Petit Chaperon Rouge. Unless there is an emergency, your car can remain parked throughout your stay.

How far away are the nearest ski slopes?

Our chalets benefit from an exceptional location, close to the slopes and shops. Access is immediate: the slopes are 150 metres from the chalet. Leaving our cul-de-sac, you directly join a blue run that takes you to the snow front in one minute. From there, the Mélèzes and 1800 chairlifts propel you into the vastness of Paradiski.

Are there ski rental shops nearby?

Yes, several renowned brands such as Intersport, Skimium-Décathlon, and Skiset are a 3-minute walk away. For ultimate convenience, we also offer, via our partner Oxygène, the delivery and fitting of your ski and snowboard equipment directly at the chalet.

Can I reach the resort centre (Plagne Centre) easily?

Absolutely. To get to Plagne Centre, you have two options:

  • By free shuttle bus: the stop is in the immediate vicinity, running every 15 minutes (a 2-minute journey).
  • On foot: a beautiful walk of approximately 17 minutes through the pine forest.

How do I get to the chalet (train, plane, car)?

Plagne 1800 is one of the most accessible resorts in the Tarentaise:

  • Train: Aime-La-Plagne station, then the Altibus shuttle or a taxi (JB Taxi).
  • Plane: Transfers from Geneva, Lyon, Chambéry, or Grenoble airports.
  • Car: Direct access with a private parking space in front of the chalet.

Accommodation and Capacity

What is the maximum capacity of the chalet?

Chalet Dakota accommodates up to 15 people. With over 200m² of living space, it is ideal for multi-generational families or large groups of friends seeking both conviviality and independence.

How many bedrooms and bathrooms are there?

The chalet has 7 renovated bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom (shower or bath). This is a major asset that guarantees privacy for every guest.

What is the layout of the living areas?

The living room is vast and bright, facing the mountains with large floor-to-ceiling windows. The chalet also includes a Scandinavian sauna, a separate TV room on the ground floor, and a large, fully equipped ski room.

Renovation and Facilities

Has the chalet been recently renovated?

Yes, a full renovation was completed in the summer of 2022. We focused on high-quality natural materials and contemporary Alpine decor to create a warm, premium atmosphere.

What are the technological and comfort facilities?

The chalet is "fully loaded": high-speed WiFi (fibre), a double-sided wood-burning fireplace, an ultra-equipped kitchen (2 dishwashers), a laundry room, and a professional Ski Room with boot and glove dryers for 16 people.

Is there a space suitable for remote working?

Absolutely. A dedicated desk area equipped with an Ethernet port is available. High-performance WiFi covers all rooms, allowing you to balance work and pleasure in a peaceful setting.

What is the view from the lounge and are there outdoor spaces?

The lounge offers a plunging view over the pine forest and surrounding peaks. The chalet has a large wrap-around balcony and, for our summer guests, a large terrace equipped with an outdoor table and a barbecue.

Kitchen and Meals

How is the kitchen equipped?

It is a chef’s kitchen designed for groups: 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, a large fridge and freezer, microwave, food processor, and espresso machine. You will also find everything needed for Savoyard evenings (raclette and fondue sets).

Is there a cleaning service?

End-of-stay cleaning is systematically included (€250) to ensure a stress-free departure. A mid-stay cleaning service is also available as an optional extra on request.

Is the chalet accessible for people with reduced mobility?

Unfortunately not. The traditional architecture of the chalet, spanning several levels with stairs, does not allow for optimal disabled access.

EXPERT OPINION

If you need to work during your ski holiday, we provide a desk in our chalets with an Ethernet connection and fibre. In fact, the chalet has already been rented by a group of digital nomads who organised their days between the fun of the slopes with friends and Teams video calls.

The chalet is situated at 1900m altitude. With 70% of the La Plagne ski area located above 2000m, we guarantee abundant snow cover and exceptional skiing quality from December until the end of April.

Which ski areas can be accessed?

You are in the heart of La Plagne (225 km of runs). Thanks to the Vanoise Express, you can also access the linked Les Arcs area to form Paradiski and its 425 km of slopes, one of the largest winter playgrounds in the world.

Is the ESF ski school easy to reach?

Yes, the ESF Plagne 1800 meeting point is located on the village snow front, just a 3-minute walk from the chalet. This is ideal for dropping children off in the morning.

What activities are available in summer?

La Plagne in summer is a dynamic destination: downhill mountain biking (Bike Park), hiking, white-water sports (Rafting on the Isère), Mountain Karting, and the Magic Pool in Bellecôte, heated to 31°C.

Why book directly rather than through Airbnb or Booking.com?

By booking on our official website, you save approximately 15% (the amount of platform commissions). You also benefit from direct contact with us and greater flexibility.

What is the payment and cancellation policy?

A 30% deposit is required upon booking, with the balance due 2 months before arrival. In accordance with our terms, there are no refunds in the event of cancellation. We accept credit cards, bank transfers, and PayPal.

Are bed linens and towels provided?

House linens are offered as an optional extra. You can adjust your booking options up to one week before arrival via your guest area.

What is the policy regarding pets and parties?

For hygiene reasons and out of respect for neighbours, pets are not accepted. Parties and loud events are prohibited to preserve the peace of the forest cul-de-sac.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes, a security deposit of €3,000 is required in the form of a bank pre-authorisation (not debited) on the day of your arrival.

How far in advance should I book?

The chalet is in high demand. For school holiday periods, we recommend booking as soon as the previous season ends. Generally, 75% of our weeks are booked by July for the following winter.
